SFU Faculty of Environment Recruitment Campaign
As an industry leader in environmental education and sustainability, SFU’s Faculty of Environment aimed to build a global reputation for its students, researchers, and community involvement.
As the designer for this project, I collaborated with writers, videographers, photographers, and social media managers. I received the text a few days before the first draft deadline. Initially, the client requested an 8-page brochure, but after reviewing the content and identifying four compelling stories, I proposed a 16-page brochure with full spreads for each story and included images of their work. I explained my reasoning to the client, who agreed on the condition that I find a way to cut printing costs to stay within budget, which I successfully did.
One challenge was to highlight that the Faculty of Environment offers more than just forest-related studies. A team member came up with the tagline “More Than You Think.” I used the back cover of the brochure to list various career options available to students, such as virtual reality, business, forensics, and policy.
